Ok, i'll get to the point. My iBook stinks. It smells horrible. Like a fat man bathing in his own sweat on a hot summer day. Save the jokes that I need to wash my hands and all that crap, the bottom line is that the iBook G3 keyboards have a tendency to produce an odor when it reaches operating temperature. The smell is produced by "outgassing" of the adhesive which holds some components inside the keyboard together. Now for the question: how do I get rid of this awful smell?
I have tried alcohol, keyboard baths, canned air, dryer sheets, strips of car air fresheners, all to no avail.
