Ok I donwnloaded the first pack, and I'm tryin 2 make a connection with my RAZR, but when I do the driver thing, it brings up two windows says "the DRIVERTOOL.EXE file is linked to missing export, STUPAPI.DLL:CM_Get_DevNod e_Status." and the second window says "A device attatched to the system is not functioning". My phone works fine, I got it almost 3 weeks ago. And I always connect my psp all the time. help :Argh:

Alright, what you need to do is this: Unplug your phone, and run Driver Tool again. Once that's done, wether it works or not, plug in your phone, liike I said, wether it works or not. Then, when the install new hardware wizard comes up, click from specific location, and navigate to 'QJ Motorola Mods Pack\P2K Tools\newp2k'. Allow it to install from there. You may have to repeat the process for multiple devices that pop up. Let me know if that helps! If it doesnt, theres other things we can try.

The instal wizard thing doesn't show up anymore. The first time I pluged in my phone the wizard came up, but it doesn't show up anymore. I noticed that you got an aim screenname, I'll chat w/ u later 2 c if you can possibly help me fix this problem. Thnx for the help :icon_smil

Absolutely, add me in AIM. And that's what you want to happen. You DONT want the wizard to pop up.

Okay, looks like we got two things to cover here.

First:

Every time I try to run P2Ktools I get a windows error message and the program needs to close.

Make sure your phone is disconnected before you start it. Give that a try. If that still doesn't work, then tell me, because I can give you alternate directions for whatever your trying to do. And thanks for your support!

You should be okay on millenium, but your phone won't be a removable disk. You need a program to decode the file structure, and I included the best one in that pack. P2K tools has an excellent file explorer in it.

That being said.. yea.. im a expert at moto seem, flashing, flexing, tweaking and reprogramming. =D

Not to mention S60 (Nokia Ngage, 3650, etc) phones.. but yea.. so least I know how to as well if it comes down to it.

Best advice? Dont do anything on your phone unless you study wtf your doing. Otherwise, expect it to brick!

Well, any flashing will have heavily-outsourced links, so people can make sure there doing stuff right... For now, simple seem edits, which are easily repaired.

Jeez all of those links are for semi-inactive forums, except MotoModders (im a member at all of them, lol) and your link at the bottom goes to a php file. If you are interested in helping with these tutorials that'd be great, but please don't release any in the forums. Meantime, I'm working on an MP3 ringtone tutorial, so sit tight!

Hehe, Oh trust me, the forums are quite active. It depends on what moto your editing that decides what to look for, Super threads etc. ;)

Mp3 ringtone, for moto its easier to have the mp3 you want converted, then load mobile phone tools, under editor, select the fragment of the song you want, then send it to the phone. =)

But Anyways, hehe.. I have way too much fun with this. But yea, thanks for trying to get some guides up. =)

Why aren't we allowed to release any in the forums? I think that my tutorial on MP3s for ringtones is adequate for someone that can't wait for one, but whatever bud.

Heh I have a Stream Real Audio guide too, explains how to stream mp3 or live tv to real audio able phones. Not to mention shoutcast able. Hehe..

I still love to unlock the engineering mode.. lets you lock yourself to a tower or know when your at a tower transfer.

For some reason, my RAZR instead of recording by size it records by percentage.
it will stop every time it records to 5% of the memory, no matter what size i change it to ( even tried the 128 incremental) and in either KB or MB, it still didnt work, anyone can help???

RAZR max video record is only about 1 min if you seem edit it to be "MMS" length. Least from what I read. Otherwise its limited to the memory on the device.

Also again.. as I said, thats after you seem edit it to take longer video captures.

Btw, I forgot to add, any newbie guide should tell about the "flash interface PST" drivers, plus a mention of the app "MotoKit" would be a good start.

Well.. now that I read more of this. Yes, Motorola reports in %

When you goto "Multimedia" and click on Pictures or Videos, hit Menu, then scroll all the way down to "View free Space" that will report in the kbs your looking for.

Nice trick is.. my Smart-clip I could change the IMEI on some moto phones. Heh.

I kinda want a super simcard.. one I can put my 2 TMO numbers on.. or just copy my main so I dont have to take sim cards out of my phones. Could be a simple power off and then power other on.

WOOHOOO video on my v3 razr done it as soon as i got it- well i had to reflash my phone about 5 times as i kept deleting my files in the hope to get 10mb of memory but settled for just under 7 ;)

EDIT: Can someone tell me how to get video for a minute as i've done all the seem editing i have been told by a website but i only get 30 seconds at the most

However for those, rem.. youll need a hex editor.

Also deleting system files are bad.. mmmmk?

So if your deleting preinstalled ringtones.. I would hope you 1st set all profiles to "silent" mode.. otherwise you will have issues.
