Video Security System
Can any of you guys help me out?
This might sound a little weird, but I'm looking for a Video Security System for my dad's store. (Four break-in's this month! :icon_mad: ). Can anyone tell me where I can get one that's not PC-Based for ~$400 USD? I've been searching for a while now, but still nothing. I'm looking for a four-camera black and white system.
Once again, I apologize if this sound a little weird, but I really need help. Thanks to anyone that can help me out. :icon_smil
you could get a nice dvr system that loops the recording to HD
You'll want to go with a professional security services company, look in the yellow pages then research them on the internet.
It's not only a tax write-off, but it's also good for lowering the store's insurance rates.
You just tell them what you need and they should give you a free quote. They will also warranty the equipment. Depending on store layout and all entrances and exits, it could be cheap or it could be expensive. If you don't have experience in this area, then don't try to half-@$$ it or you'll just be throwing away money.
You want a system that DETERS first (loud alarms) and also generates a record of activity after the alarm goes off (cameras and motion sensors tied into a standalone system on a separate power supply/source). Make sure everything recorded is time-stamped and that AFTER another break-in that only the POLICE take the video away, making sure to fill out evidence tags and forms to ensure evidence chain-of-custody that will hold up in court, and giving you a receipt showing the date, time, and name of officer and precinct that took the equipment/tapes/video/whatever.
iball, thanks a lot bro. We already have a system that deters (aka loud-a** alarm), but we still need a good camera system. Thanks for your help bro.
