I'm not sure... I don't have an iPod Nano, so my desire to look is what one would call, non-exsistant...

You needto run linux on your iPod. Heard over to Ipod Linux for in deatail instrucions. It may say that iPod linux doesn't support nanos, but it works fine. Note, that you have to partition your nano, and install the linux on the partition. If you have any trouble PM me (I'm quite good at this, maybe I should apply for iPod Updates, lol)

Whats even the point of video on a Nano? The screen's so small you'd have to strain to watch.

Its probably not your computer, you just didnt follow the right directions

i was on there (ipodlinux.org) and i found the installers and stuff, but it says it wont work with the click wheel, i am seriously confused now, any help

i dont get why you would put video on a nano... i ahve one, and i had to seriously cut down the amount of music i had on my iPod to fit it on the nano... to fit movies would be.. well stupid. unless ur one of those kids that really doesnt have that much music and just got an iPod to say that you have one... i hate those kids. somewhat off topic, friday at school i walked past a bunch of dumb freshman gathered around a video iPod, and guess what they were watching... porn. honestly how desperate can you be... mabey ill try linux on my old iPod though...

U CAN put videos on your ipod nano and it surly is NOT impossible!

Okay Im way experienced in the ipod linux area.

If you have NO clue how to do it, or if you have a video ipod, DON'T put it onto it.

Its NOTHING like running homebrew on a psp.

And there is a MUCH higher risk of you breaking your ipod beyond apple's restore feature.

If you know HOW to put it on your ipod, good for you. You actually READ the stuff ipodlinux has. Don't go asking for help in their forums on ipod vids/4gens/nanos, they won't help you. Since its not supported

I must warn you, SpartanIIMark6, don't go off and help people like that without telling them its a HUGE risk in putting it on their ipods.

But if you have an old school ipod, or the one with the 4 buttons on the top on the wheel, go ahead and do it! Its supported, they'll help you, and everything should work fine.

its not really that dangerous to put linux on ur nano, ive only heard of 1 person bricking there ipod, from stupiidty too.......yes it is hard to install, but after u get it installed think of all the possibiliteis(doom,quake, half life,heretic,goldeneye,VI DEOS,) all those things i listed already exist so dont flame me saying they dont exist cause they do!! : :Jump: :Jump: :Jump:

Uhh, just to tell you, its almost IMPOSSIBLE to break a ipod trying to install ipodlinux

maybe a 0.00000000000001% chance of breaking

I guess you can say i have temperaly broken many ipods, but you can ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS format them with the trust hp tool, and tehn just the ipod updater
