this is kind of a noob idea but let me know what you all think...i posted it here so i wont get so many noob answers. thanks
this is a crazy idea but could we do this? :
1) Make an "update eboot" for 1.0.....like not signed by sony obvously...but the same type of file structure.
2) modify FakeUpdater to write to flash instead of ms...this is easy because the source is included.
3) use the 1.0 "update" and write it to flash like an update?
c5cha7 made a while ago a 1.5 firmware that loaded 1.0 eboots using mph/sxt's bfm.
we could put that into a "update" structure and downgrade..sorta...that way?
Could we modify the debug update (the "bricker" update) with a different psar? is that one signed by sony also? im guessing yes, it's signed?
Let me know what everyone thinks.
and i have one last question:
can we reverse engeneer the Fake Updater (source code is included) and make it pack .psar instead of extract.psar? is that possible? or is there another way to make a .psar i'm not aware of?
If anyone is good at coding and is interested in this let me know.
i have many psp's that i'm willing to brick for this.
