Default Ebay MP3s

I'm looking for a new small MP3. Ebay offers some at some very good prices. I was wondering if there were any risks? Like being fake, used or anything like that. Especially the iPods?

theres a very high risk of them being fakes or used.

My policy, always buy high value items from retail shops (not online) i only buy things like cables, or anything below 20 pounds from online.

I'm assuming the previous posts answered the questions. Were you also asking for suggestions in terms of which MP3 player you should buy? If so:

If you're looking for a flash-based player (small amount of memory, longer battery life, normally smaller size), I'd suggest the Zen Stone by Creative. There's also a lot of others with displays and such, you should look around if this is what you're choosing. I've heard "eh" reviews for the small iPod (forgot the actual name)

If you're looking for a Hard-drive player (Bulky, more memory, normally more support for different filetypes, less battery life), obviously, you'll get a lot of recommendations for the iPod. You should choose this if you want lots of accessories to go along with it as the iPod has swarms of them. If that's not your cup of tea, you can go with what I use, the Creative Zen Vision:M. It's very similar to the iPod, plus FM Radio (recordable), microphone, more video filetypes, higher quality display, but not nearly as many accessories (standalone speakers and such).

Mainstream MP3s, like iPod, may be fake. You can usually spot the fakes, because they are suspiciously cheap, located in somewhere like Honk Kong and have dodgy feedback.

Thanks for the recommendations, I was actually going to ask this too. I'm looking for a cheap MP3. I already have a PSP with almost all the music I want, but sometimes is too big to carry around, so I'm just looking for those mini ones. I'm looking for something that needs AAA or AA batteries, since the other chargeable batteries, once they die for good, the mp3 is gone as well. I'm looking for something that will go for $50 dollars or less, 1gb if possible. Oh and I want one of those that need no USB cable. Thanks in advance.

About the Feedbacks. I've seen sellers from the US selling iPods for 24 dollars plus 19.00 (which if actually around 40 bucks for the iPod, since the shipping is only around 5 bucks) for the shipping and feedback isn't bad. The negative feedback usually talks about how slow shipping was, but not never about being fake.

If you want one without a screen, go for the creative Zen Stone. It's much cheaper than the iPod shuffle and has better sound quality whilst only being a few milimetres bigger.
