Hello, here I am asking advice on another product purchase. This time I'm looking for a PC monitor. I recently bought a laptop and am looking to use it's dual screening capablilities (I have tested on an old CRT and it worked prefect).
I have a budget of around £170 and so far I have found a couple of 22" monitors but am not sure whether I should go for DVI or HD (is there any difference?). My laptop has VGA output, would I even be able to use a DVI monitor (or HD for that matter)? With my budget I can buy a decent 1600x1024 resolution monitor as you can see here.
Any online shops except eBay are fine as well as high street shops, bearing in mind I live in the UK.
Some monitors I have been looking at are:
Hanns G HG216DP
Thanks for any help!
The thing is though that it's 19" and I want something in the range of 22".
Thanks for looking, I think I might go for an Acer, seeing as my laptop is Acer too. :p
Has anyone got any ideas on the VGA to DVI problem? I know you can get converters but does it actually make any difference if my laptop is outputting in VGA?
well obviously since DVI is digital and VGA is analog, it wont look AS good, but should be fine
both the Hanns G and the Philips definitely have a VGA input
the GNR didnt specify, but i assume it does also since most DVI monitors have dual input with VGA since not everybody has DVI capabilities
I found this 22" which is a great price, what do you think?
