I'm searching high and low for a cheap MP3 player that uses a microdrive. I really don't care how old it is, or what size it is, as I only want it to play music, and I'll be ripping out the drive in favor of a CF card anyway.
Most of what I've found is a bit more than I'm willing to spend on something that will be gutted. I'm looking to spend no more than $20. So if I can get one that has a fried drive, or doesn't come with a drive at all, that would be superb.
I'm trying to steer clear of eBay (not that there's much there in terms of what I'm looking for anyway). So if some one can name some old players, or better yet, somewhere to buy them, I'd be much obliged.
The two I'm most interested in that I've read about, but have yet to find a place to buy is the Creative Nomad MUVO2, and the iRiver IGP-100.
Thanks in advance for anyone with info.
(BTW, before anyone asks, I'm looking for a microdrive player because I already have a 32gb CF card. I was going to use it in my iPod, but the CF - 1.8" adapter I bought turned out to be defective, never bothered to get another, and the iPod that it was going to be used in has since vanished).
