I have a fat PS2 (one of the first models), and all I get when trying to play Rock Band is disk read errors. I have emailed Sony and they have not yet gotten back to me, but I was wondering what you guys think. Apparently it's a common problem on old PS2s because Rock Band is a dual-layer DVD. I have cleaned the lens, but still to no avail. The PS2 also seems to be scratching the Rock Band disc, and it makes some funky noises (I'm not sure if the disc even spins). Any ideas?

Get a new PS2 :/

mine still works fine, and it's from launch day...

Well of course a release PS2 is going to start to break down around this time, its big brother the PS3 is out.
As Freeplay said: "New PS2"
Or i say upgrade to a shiny new PS3

my rock band fender guitar just broke =[
the strum bar is unresponsive so I'll have to send an email to EA
it's only been 1 month heh
