Default FF6 3D Tech demo.

Well this is very old news, but I only found out about it now:

Apparently FF6 was going to go on to the N64 but AFAIK this tech demo was as far as they got with it.

Kinda interesting.

square has not stopped developing for nintendo, crystal chronicles ring any bells ? final fantasy 1 - 6 were developed for nintendo remaking 3-5 and possibly 6 for the ds, so i would say yes, square still develops for nintendo...

Final Fantasy 1-6 were on the NES and SNES. After that Square fell out with Nintendo (I think it was over Nintendo sticking cartridges) and moved to Sony (with CD quality sound) and have been exclusive to Sony on the main Final Fantasy titles.

Of course Square are now making games for Nintendo again but Crystal Chronicles, Tactics and remakes are not the same game as the lead titles that are still Sony exclusive. The bond between Sony and Square will take more than money to break so it looks like it will stay as it is for a long time to come.
