QJ.net Game Discussion - PSP, Xbox, Wii, PS3, PSP Homebrew, and PSP Guides

Ok so my birthday passed a few weeks ago, and my parents havent gotten me anything, and they told me I get choose between one of the three consloes....
need help on deciding wich one to pick....
(im taking opinions)

First of all this is going to turn into a flame war in about 5 minutes....

But definetly don't go with the wii kept me entertained for all of about 1 week, and then I've never played it again. And in my opinion the 360 has better exclusives (halo, gears) so I'd go with the 360. PS3 is fun, but the only exclusive that i really love is mgs4 (although mgs4 is pretty awsome)

Unless you would modchip it, not a Wii. Not worth buying games. The Wii has 3, maybe 4 good games - Mario Kart Wii, SSBB, and Super Mario Galaxy. Maybe Zelda. But that's about it.

I also agree with conroy101 that you should get a 360 due to better exclusives and it being cheaper, though I've never owned or even played a PS3.

Ive played all three systems I dont really like the wii for the lack of good games...
I like the 360 for all the good games it has but then again I have to buy extra stuff for online play so it would be the same as a ps3 but still need more opinons on this...

I say if your dad wants to shell out for live and a wifi adapter then get a 360 .... If not get a ps3 Mgs4 pack...

and couldn't pick lol But you should go for the ps3 it will be Hacked where as the xbox can be modded.

Heat the warranty sticker up using a hairdryer, and peel it with a razor blade. I did it in less than 10 seconds. Youtube it.

Also, if you have a fcuked up 360, buy a new warranty stick on eBay. They're $30, but it's cheaper than a new 360.

best graphics - Debatable, depends on the game.
MGS4 - Halo 3, GoW, see, everything has its own exclusives.
Blu-ray - Yup, I'll give you that.
Wi-fi - My 360 has wifi...
internet browser - I never use my PS3 browser, it's rather pointless imo.
HD support with 1080p via HDMI - LOl, 360 has HDMI now.
original PSN games - Xbox live arcade and able to buy old xbox games.
Free online - Yup I'll give it that.
best games on 2008 - The year is young, still a lot of games to come out.
future proof - What the hell?

I think you need to do some homework. Both consoles are great and as owner of both I would say go for the 360 if you can afford online and love online gaming, but if you're more of a MGS/Offline gaming person the PS3 dominates the scene.

Most of the time. However, since the X-Clamps aren't the only thing wrong with the 360 causing RRODs, it might not fix it permanently. However, it does fix the most common cause of the RROD, just not all of them.

I also think that it depends on how you're going to use the console. I use my ps3 mostly for media (blue-ray), while i usually just stick to games on my 360. So if you just want to use it for gaming than go with the 360.

Also what shaka might have ment by future proof is, the ps3 is a future proof Blu-ray player....

With Wifi you had to shell out a extra 100...and You paid even for then that if you live in the U.k or you live where mike lives......

Internet browser- It not pointless when you have Youtube,also you can stream live video somthing the 360 cant do...

The 360 does have way better acrgrde games..

if you're just into pure gaming then i'll give ups for 360.

But if you want more media center capabilities also, PS3 is a good option.
