You know.. some of my 1st experiances with Sega was simple.. I rem columns, Sonic 1 and This one soccer game. I mean I know back then it was simple.. but to play a new system like this and sonic! WHEW, That was more additive then Mario was in a way. Columns was hard too! But very much fun.
Soccer back then was quite fun with 2 people, I mean in germany it was Mega drive and I played it with my friend. Had a blast there too. Sonic though really took the cake, I mean those levels were HARD! And that odd gem extra stage, I mean I think you all know which one I mean.
Either way, playing those old things, paved the way to understanding the current games. I find it VERY sad that people dont know a history of a game line.. when people see "Sonic" they think of the newest ones and not the game that got it that far, granted finally there is the Mega collection and Gem pack which can help this. But what about Mario? Ghostbusters, Manic Mansion?
Hell.. Toe Jam and Earl?! Games that made platform gaming what it is today.. if you were good at them back then, I am sure you still are and for those Mega man players, I think they know what I am talking about.
