Hey all, just asking around here. I am the type to hook up my consoles to the PC since I have a AiW card. Much nicer quality too.. (If I had that one Xbox vga convertor kit the REAL good one. I know I could do the HDTV support via my monitor. Cant rem the name of the good one tho atm)
But I was noticing, seems that when I try DVDs via the Xbox, I get the classic, copy protection issue when trying to view them, its like the Xbox thinks my PC is a VCR I guess. Well reason I want it to work is my PC has digital out, but not in a optical sense unless I had the bay and my Logitech Z5500 supports optical inputs and I THINK the sound was abit better coming from my xbox then playing it direct from PC. I mean I got 5.1 on the PC DVD playback, but somehow I think the Optical is better then the analog signal my speakers are getting right now.
Was wondering, has anyone seen a de scambler or some type of thing one could use to play the xbox using a pc and not get the dvd issues of protection? I dont think there is but I know on VCR days you had a certain AV cable that would let you hook one vcr to another and being able to copy things without it going dark on you or so.
Thanks. =) (Just love using my PC hookups for everything vs a TV, Seems I play my console more if its even REMOTLY with my PC vs then if I try to play on a TV)
