Hey to everyone using a mod chip. Maybe 1: Can you tell us the BEST chip to use and why? SOOOOO many out there.. =/ I know I check consolegaming.com for the chips etc.. just so many out there, each with functions etc.. sigh..

Anyways whats best to use?

Also what apps do you use and like? Have you tried stepmania for XB? Kai?

Just wondering if its worth modding to do things. I havent seen anyone bring this stuff up yet, so I think it would be good to talk about modding xbox and homebrew for it. I havent modded since I play XBL, also not sure if I wanna try to install Linux on XB or so, maybe with the 360 out, I can just mod it then, make it a system that wont be outdated... like DC.. least DC has its uses as a emulator system.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I was thinking of buying the solderless spider-chip because I hate messing with my system's insides. Can anyone recommend a good solderless mod-chip?

xecuter 2.3ce is a good chip. you can get an adapter for that to intsall solderlessly. or you can softmod. as for homebrew I run mostly emulators xbmc and linux. it's also nice to throw a game with long load times on the harddrive.

Is there a way to run X-box homebrew with the Action Replay? I heard I can install linux that way but what is Linux for?

sega master system , 100`s nintendo roms 100`s genesis roms
n64 roms and many xbox isos.
