Ahh its that time again, been awhile since I posted a memory.
Well today, one of the FEW "platform" games that I was hooked on.
Ah who can forget the little dragon looking guys that blew their enemies into a bubble then popped them. Collecting food and goodies for score and special effect. The music was ALSO very addicting. I was happy when I found the main 1st stage song on DDR (SM). Hehe.. Just so catchy.
I remember playing this and growing with it, trying to get past levels after level. 2 player mode was more fun since someone would control a blue guy and you go after them together, then trying to spell out the word "Energy" if you remember that much of it. Wasnt always easy.
Countless times did I die to a furious red monster who was either the last to go or broke out of his bubble, since if you didnt pop them fast enough, they would escape. Then also before you popped the last guy, I remember spamming the screen with bubbles for extra points and food when I killed the last guy. Hehe.. Having a turbo controlller on this game was a BIG help! Then if you got the gum to use, whew. =D
I mean one would think.. how hard is jumping and putting monsters in a bubble? Kinda hard since sometimes you could slide off a bubble or miss it and so. This is almost like Kirby in a way if you think about it. Very addicting and its a game I have on my PSP too. ;)
Also seems GBA also has a version which is the old and new one.
Also seems a imported PSX version had Bubble Bobble 2.
Either way the game was very fun and addicting. =)
Did you get hooked on this game? I know the music and sound fx was very cute. =)
