Anyway to fix tilted lens in DVD drive?
I just got a used XBOX. It can turn on and everything, but it can't friggin' play DVDs or XBOX games, only audio CDs (I knew the a-hole who sold it to me wasn't trustworthy. I'm gonna C.R.U.S.H. his face!!! ****!!!). I've been told that his is caused by the lens being unbalanced. So, I opened it and observed the lense, but to my suprise it didn't necearrily appear "unbalanced" for whatever that should mean. My question is "Is there anyway to balance the lens?" I'm doubly sure you pros who mod your XBOX or extremely tech savvy could help me out. I don't wanna get stuck having to buy another DVD drive (no credit card :icon_sad: for online shopping)
Update:
Sorry, apparently I chose the incorrect words. It's the laser that's having problems. And it has been misaligned. Anybody knows how to realign a laser in a DVD drive. Hopes this clarifies things.
