I've decided to extend my gaming expetise and include fighting games (not counting super smash) as a genre that i'm good at. I want some suggestions for a good fighting game that you can pick up and play, has some depth, and lasts for a while. I was thinking of waiting for mortal kombat:armageddon which looks pretty cool but i don't know. What are some good fighting games for zboz that are out now?

DEFINATLY DEAD OR ALIVE ULTIMATE !!

the best fighting game for sure there is alot of depth and many moves to learn, a lot of skill is needed and can't just be button bashed. online is great xcept for the lag. alot of combos can be made manually like juggling, this game will keep you entertained for sure just read some reviews and stuff.

Of course you cant button mash in DOA, all your opponent needs o do is press back andone button and youre countered for half of your life. yea, thats skill.

Anyway if it was on xbox, i would say tekken 5, for pc there is always melty blood final tuned.

Actually king of fighters 2k3 just hit for xbox,prolablythe best fighting gamefor xbox right now.

Will never happen. Some people like games that others consider to be absolute garbage. Like i think DOA is the most pathetic excuse for a fighting game ever.

Dead or Alive Ultimate (X-box) is Awesome. Probably (IMO) the best X-box fighting game ever. It's nicely polished and the women on the game have the "goods" :icon_wink

I could never honestly get into the DOA series...All of them suck...I beleive most people buy it just because of the "hot" girls...

I do like alot of street fighter games and of course SSBM for GC

DOA is a fun Fighting game.......for xbox get either SNk vs. capcom 2 :eo,street fighter aniversery collection,gulity gear xx or DOA 3

Duh why didn't I think of that. That is an awesome 2d fighting game. If any game you get it should be this. Not only is it great but it is only 20$ too

Oh and one of them has fast and furious 4 player fighting.

like i said in post 2 doa is the best because of online play, and good characters.

Okay. I just played DOA ultimate at my friends house and i really don't like it much. I mean, i'd attack him and he'd just counter it. I'd attack and he'd counter again. It seems that the game is just all about countering. I also played Mortal Kombat: Deception though and that was really fun. I think i may get mortal komat: armeggedon when it comes out seeing as it will basically be the doa ultimate of the mortal kombat series. It will have every mortal kombat character in it, plus a character creator, plus the 3-D fighting for story mode, with arial combat added in.
