I know you can mod with a chip but what is because no one gives me a straight answer (just the definition not steps):

soft-modding

bridging

boosting

and why isn't standby like in ps2 online where if they standby, you shoot the body and you both die?

Soft-modding-Not exactly sure....Sorry

Briding- This is some kind of trick that automatically gives someone the HOST.I think it requires 2 people(One person gets the host, the other GIVES the host to him) In higher levels, Host REALLY does give the wins.

Boosting-I think i heard that is when you get in a party with LOW levels and if the LOW level person is host and searches,you get easier games(With noobs or something)So its easier to BOOST your level.

Actually...I think modding means...

taking stuff apart of maps..making your own stuff..Etc..

So i guess Soft modding must be the stuff you see online..
Examples:
Super fast walk
Auto AIM to Head
Infinite Bullets
Choose of Spawn Locations.
Etc..

yeah actually today when me and macca played i think i ran into a couple people who could kill us duel wielding plasma rifles in 2 seconds(litereally) in a team plasma war game.

then we ended with plasma war again. and whenever i shot at someone it's like the bullets didn't even hurt them .my plasma rilfes overloaded like 4 times and i still couldn't kill any of them and it sucked..

Yeah, softmodding is modding your Xbox without a mod chip. It won't invalidate your hard drive or anything, so softmodders can still go on XBL.

Bridging is actually where someone who is host uses a program on their computer to block out his opponents IP addresses so he lags out of the game. They use this to force the opposing team to quit for an easy win.
