sound works in the emu
i don't know if it was supposed to not have sound in the dash
i'll reinstall i guess i don't know use a different dash installer oh wait does the one you mentioned come with XBMC preinstalled or something?

I just do a tsop flash. oftmodding is just too unreliable, imo, and such a pain.

Nope. you need a copy of either splinter cell, 007 under fire or mech assault.

Isnt that soft modding?

Jusr softmod. I'm not sure if Evox has sound in the dahs because what would there be sound for? Just clicking buttons?

Its a bit different using the games to install homebrew, etc, but tsop flashing is actually flashing the bios on your xbox with those games, and does require opening up the xbox and soldering some points. Softmodding requires no modification of any sort to the xbox.

Tsop flashing gives you the ability to "hard mod" an xbox without a chip, and is my preferred method.

The only prob is if you have v 1.6 box you cant tsop flash.

I've just always softmodded ppl's xbox and never had a problem, of course i used a team xecuter modchip on my xbox when i had an xbox.

Very true. I just hunt down a non 1.6. they are pretty easy to find as well.

I have a modded Xbox with Xecuter chip, XBMC as default dashboard, hooked up to my computer, file transfer through FTP client, direct streaming of MP3's, movies and RSS feeds. I love my Xbox

Its the easiest way of modding. No need to open up your xbox, solder, manually flash a bios, make a boot disc, etc.

All you have to do is a run a gamesave click a few buttons and bam your xbox is modded.

Sigh* i'm glad i modded my xbox and the main reason was because i got bored of always getting matched up with cheaters in halo 2.

So you just deleted the new maps of the hdd?

I was going to do that when i first modded my box but i couldnt resist the urge to cheat, and it was worth it, then the mod patch game out and i stopped modding cuz the spawn mod is no fun and bridging is better then modding. Then i stopped cheating.

no i just modded my xbox because mainly all i did with my xbox was play Metal gear solid 2,halo 2,conker,Unreal championship and halo 1 and i needed something else to do with it .

Alright, I've been looking on Xbox-Scene, and don't know which tutorial to use. Can someone link me to a softmodding guide? And kaioshade, can you link me to TSOP flashing? I think I have a 1.4 or 1.5 Xbox, and I'm pretty sure they can be flashed.
