Anyone else besides me mod their xbox? Lots of good homebrew for this machine. And the media center capabilities are almost flawless.

i want another xbox so i can mod mine..i want to play homebrew on xbox soo bad..and i also heard that you could browse the internet with xbox media center is this true?

I did the UXE softmod - Swapped in a 120gb hard drive and now I use XBMC as the dash.

In the way of homebrew, I run: Surreal64, FBA-XXX Pro, Quake 2, snes9x and PSXbox. Oh, and there are always those "legal backups of games" I acquire.

XBMC is ****ing incredible - You can watch film trailers from apple, it auto-tags your music collection with album art, there are over 7000 visualisations (all of which **** all over the 360's, btw) and it can... ****, there's just so much it can do.

I want to mod one of my Xboxes, I've got 3 of them so I've really got nothing to lose. Problem is, I have no clue where to start.

surely this is against the piracy policy. and it was started by a mod. oh wel im not gonna complain im all for bending the rules.

anyway i dont have an xbox

i wanted one but i dunno whether to bother now. cos i wanna get a 360. But theres only one game out for the 360 that i want.

I wanted to soft mod my Xbox for XBMC, but now I'm poor... So I can't.

Soft mod - modify the software - no hardware - no cost - no reason to be dissapointed because you're poor

Ive got an executer 2 chip in mine, had it since the year of release, best thing in my life apart from my girlfriend.
Oh yea, and ive got XBMC, its quality, mine is one of the newer versions, where xlink kai is built in to XBMC! Such great 'homebrew'(i guess its hombrew)

I've modded hard/soft my xbox. Then sold it to a friend. Modded 2 of my other friends xbox and modded my teachers xbox.

Show me the router method... I'm pretty sure I've already looked into it, and found that it wouldn't work, but maybe not...

Or splinter cell. You still need to be able to get a game save onto your xbox. thats what the USB doodah is needed for

Yeah, that's why I need the USB adapter... But if there's a way to do it without the USB adapter, I'd like to hear it.

as far as im aware its just simpler. but im not sure. all the info needed is on that link that was posted earlier. theres loads of guides.

Im pretty sure that theres no way to do the soft mod without the usb thingy tho.
