1. Is it easy to soft-mod an Xbox? and does soft-modding still ban you from XBL?

2. Is it ever possible there will be a mod to replace the drive of the Xbox to play 360 games?

1. softmodding suprisingly is very easy , just as long as you have a dvd burner download the AID3.0 auto installer after you install your softmod and new dashboard.
yes you can keep xbox live if you duel boot install it using teh Knave4 installer.

2. NO

thanks for the info. So all i do is burn that installer to disk. Install it. Then install Knave4 for dual booting. And im good to go? or is it needed to open the XBOX and work (besides replacing the harddrive for more space.

and one more quick one. As far as put games on the hard drive, how exactly is it done?

well actually to install the softmod you have to have a Copy of splinter cell 1 and a way to transfer save games from your pc to your xbox.
the AIDauto installer is so you can install your apps and emulators without having the trouble of FTPing it.

Ok i have the general idea of what to do, how to do it and such. But what i want to know from you is waht program is best, there seem to be mixed reviews. In your opinion, if i want to install a dual boot softmod using the gamesave exploit, what would be my best bet?

it seems a lot of hype is around nkpatcher but i don't see signs off it being able to dual boot. Or do i use another program for that all together?

when you install the soft mod you should be greeted with 3 different options the last one is the duel boot one you want.

is plain stupid. I dont know a good way to explain it but I'll try. All drives do is read disks. What makes the big diffrence is the hardware.

i have a soft modded xbox on a budget of about 5 dollars:
buy:
an xbow extension cord 2.99
a usb cable (u need male side) free
copy of mech assault 1.99

cut each in half twist the male for usb to female of xbow extension cable female side

use action replay software plug xbow controller in to pc with memory card transfer sid 4 for mech assault onto mem card unlug. plug in xbox and copy to HDD and start up mechassault open save Run Linux

this is briefy off what i did all my info i got was from xboxscene
