i did this:i got it from this:http://www.help-forums.com/showthrea...5&pagenumber=2and it still didn't workXP SP2 solved installion issue!
Just got my x-rom and tried to install it on my pc but after using all hints in this thread i still got no installation (windows claiming that there are not valid drivers vor my xrom cable). So I decided to analyse where the problem really is.
A look in the registry revealed that windows recognices the cable but can't match it with the supported info so the problem is within the XROMLP.INF file!
What Windows XP SP2 is missing is a device class so if you add the following lines to XROMLP.INF the installation will work as expected:
1. Locate the line [Version]->Class=USB
Insert the following line:
after that and insert
3. Go to the end of the file and locate
FRIENDLYNAME="XROM GBA Link Port Cable"
after that insert:
ClassName="XROM USB Device"
Save the changed XROMLP.INF and install as described. Windows will make a system restore point and then install the "LP Init driver". Please be patient as Windows needs some time before it automatically requests the second driver. Point it to the driver directory again and the "LP Final driver" will install.
Hope this will help all those which could not install the drivers!
