I have recently decided to go ahead and try Linux out on my PC. Everything has been running smoothly and I have not found any flaws as using this distro has been quite simple and a bit logical, but I have ran into a bit of a stump, please understand that I am very new to Linux, so bare with me. I understand that within this distro a simple way to installing software is through ".rpm" files. So I install the ".rpm" file and then what? I am able to locate the "executable" files that were installed, but when ever I double-click the "executable" file nothing happens. Help would be appreciated.
EDIT: Ok, I understand how to execute installed files now. I had to open a Konsole/Terminal in order to get it to execute.
