arghhh. I've been trying to install the 64bit edition of ubuntu on my intel dual core desktop and whenever i get to 90% it stops and does not continue. if i hit the hot key to see what is going on in the terminal it shows that i am getting 2 or 3 Squashfs error messages that repeat at such a high speed i can't read them, i left the computer for a while and the errors were over 3000 (the thing was numbering them) i looked online and the errors may be likethese ones but i can't read them because of the speed. Mar 19 12:25:31 ubuntu kernel: [ 21.735853] SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x80b02
Mar 19 12:25:31 ubuntu kernel: [ 21.735862] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read fragment cache block [202b6aa1]
Mar 19 12:25:31 ubuntu kernel: [ 21.735865] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 202b6aa1, size 9dbe
i think i did see this flash up though "read fragment cache"
p.s. my buddy was able to install from the same disk fine on his amd pc
thanks in advance!
