Linux distro for running a file/print/teamspeak server?
I am currently using my old compaq desktop as a server, but lits like 7 years old and probably going to die soon (or least the power supply in it).
So,I am actually considering building a mini server,ITX motherboard with the Atom processor. Nothing fancy, but it dosent use a lot of power anyway. Basically just something that I could hook up to my printer, put a TB HDD in it for storage, and maybe run a Teamspeak server on it. I would want to be able to remotely access my files (not so much my printer anyway),from anywhere outside of my LAN (from a Windows PC if it matters).
Basically, since I've never really used linux, that I would give it a try. I just need something to run on a server to let me access files and print stuff while I am at home, hooked up to my wireless router. It would have to be compatible with the hardware. Guess since im a n00b,it shouldnt be too overly complicated either.
