Default Got a router, how do I set it up?

Well I got my uncles router because he didn't need it anymore.
How do I setup the router to my PC(WIRED) and my dads laptop(WIRELESS)?
And, I will be able to get internet on my PSP once everything is set up right?
I don't know anything about routers but I can follow any instructions given to me

Here's my 30 second guide:
1) Take the Ethernet cord from your modem, plug it into the back of the router in the internet in spot
2) Take an Ethernet cord, plug it into the first slot on the router, plug it into your PC.
3) Plug in the router. Internet now works on your PC
4) Try to connect to the router using the laptop, see if it's encrypted. If it is, you'll need to either ask your Uncle for the password, or go to the IP of the router in your browser on your desktop PC, hope your Uncle was incompetent enough to forget to change the default password, log in, and change the wifi encrytion.

Enjoy!

I tried that
It didn't work on my PC or the laptop.
I took the one from the modem, put it in WAN on the router
and took the a new cable and put it in slot 1 and the other end on the PC.
None worked.
And thers a adapter card for the laptop
I dont need that do I? Its only for speed boost I think...

Then ask your uncle. Without setting it up for you, I have no idea.

Try googling the brand name, going to their site, and downloading the documentation for your router.

There was something like DHCP

Dont you have to install the drivers for the router first? Just pluging it up wont work I dont think.

Yeah. It should be somewhere in the wireless config in the browser config tool.
