Opera vs Firefox

Which one is better in terms of:

Speed?
Plugins?
Features?
Overall?

Sames goes for Windows Media Player 11 vs Winamp

Which one is better in terms of:

Skins?
Plugins?
Features?

I currently have the Firefox + WMP11 combination but I'm not sure it's the best. Please give reasons and valid explanations please.

Just try them both out. More skins/features/plugins doesn't mean you will like them more.

Well I've never used Opera. But my setup is:

VLC for all videos
Winamp for all music
Firefox for web browsing

I wouldn't be able to live without those.

I've got the latest WMP and I really despise it.

I kept FF but got Winamp Pro *cough* and I'm REALLY glad I made the switch. WMP11 is a stupid POS.

I agree with you ,but Opera has the "looks" something Firefox has to work on alot.Plug-ins dont interest me since Opera is already faster than firefox without tweaking it. Features you have to be kidding me Opera has the option of loading 9 pages at one time, pop-up blocking, a easy to use tab opener not like firefox's. Overall :Opera.

I've only used opera on my wii so I wont call that a fair test.

I use FF for web browsing purely for the plug ins.

And I use WMP11 for video and itunes for music. I've used winamp before but I can't get on with it. And I wasn't gonna pay for pro when WMP and itunes are free.

WMP11 is full of bugs!!

you need to reinstall WMP11 when you played 500 or more videos cuz the WMP11 terminates.

You don't if you installed it legitimately.

Only problem I've seen is a few files that wont play but that is down to bad encoding/corrupt files. These usually play in VLC tho so I'm fine with that.

NO! When i open the WMP11 it terminates and the Windows goes to log on screen.

you can't buy WMP11, you can download it for free "Sir Gates"
but makesure your Windows is Genuine..

I reinstalled it for more than 11x and when the 500Videos limit come it terminates.
I scan my PC every week and delete cookies and much more.

Opera + WinAmp

Firefox is great for developers or powerhouse web users.

Opera is good for general browsing and it takes less time and resources on my laptop. A lot of the plugins for Firefox is built into Opera by default.

Between WMP and WinAmp, I'd go with WinAmp.

But I prefer Foobar2k and Billy over both.

yes it does,

also i despise the look of opera, reminds me of like 2000. needs to get updated (and the skins suck because the background of the menus suck). ABP for firefox and gmail checker= a very happy customer.

Opera is one of the few browsers that passed the Acid2 test. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid2
Firefox 3.0 will pass the test too. It is basically a test of how closely a browser can follow standards when rendering a web page. Since Opera conforms to these standards better than firefox, the problem is with the forum, not Opera.
