Need Gateway's Original 84.04 BIOS exe

Gateway Parts Supported:********* If any of you have any of the models listed below and your notebook came with XP MCE 2005, then you have this 84.04 BIOS exe. if you are running XP and have NOT updated your original BIOS

I need the default 84.04 BIOS that comes on these laptops. If anyone has one of the above, PLEASE CONTACT ME OR UPLOAD THE FILE.

Gateway tech support is no help and this file is no longer even hosted on their FTP server. I'm stuck on Vista until I get this fixed.

Sure it 84.06 and not 84.04 but it does Supported Gateway MX6448 Notebook it should work just fine

Here's some advice, DON'T Upgrade your MX644X to the VISTA BIOS, I did this, and XP won't run anymore, the ATI xpress 1150 3D function no longer works, and it crashes ,and BSOD, due to having a Vista BIOS, so Now, XP is useless, unless, I can somehow find the orginal BIOS that shipped w/ my notebook, Gateway won't help me, and they say, it's my fault, they don't have the old XP BIOS, and that they no longer support XP anymore. they want to sell me a New Motherboard for $344 to FIX THIS (but the original BIOS Will correct this) this isn't covered under my Warranty!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL!!! I think this is so unfair that Gateway is doing me this way, I would understand, if I would have use a 3rd party BIOS, but I got this form the Gateway Drivers website, and not anywhere else.......anyway, here's the specs on my mobo:

That BIOS is exactly why I have to find 84.04 now.

Dont understand did your bios get corrupted so you can tell it to boot of a disk or something?

IF you still got the disk gateway gave you maybe the bios are on there. Dont think it there but there a chance.
