Default Monitor help.

I doubt it's the monitor, but there is a huge issue that I'm hoping to resolve without re-installing windows.

As soon as I turn the computer on, there is a large ammount of pixels everywhere... Before it even gets into loading windows, even.

And when it does try to boot up Windows, it shows the loading screen, then stops before it gets to the login screen. I can go to safe mode, but the pixels are still everywhere. The odd part is, it's not "dead pixels", because they seem to be... changing. They're in some strange pattern and seem to multiply, disappear, then grown back... I don't know how else to explain it.

Any help?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I scanned for viruses (AVG), Adware (Ad-Aware), and Spyware (Spybot S&D). Nothing.

Nope. Already tried dead pixel finder/fixers.
They're not dead pixels.

Sounds like a graphics card problem rather than a monitor one.
1) Try using another PC with the same monitor or something like an Xbox360, are the pixels still present? If they are, it's a faulty monitor. If the pixels have gone, move onto step 2.
2) Try using another OS e.g. burn an Ubuntu live CD and try that out. It probably isn't the OS but if the pixels are still there, it's definately the graphics card. If they manage to disapear then it's the OS. I highly doubt that's the case though.

I love you, didn't even think of the graphics card... I've been working all day, must just be tired.

I DO know that it's not the actual monitor, because it is also my television, and when I'm on any other channel, the pixels are not present. The only appear when the computer is on.

And I doubt, very seriously, that it's the OS, as they are present in the BIOS as well...

So any clue how to fix the graphics card? of this problem? And how would that keep me from getting to the login screen? (other than the change in resolution... that must be it)

EDIT: Nevermind, I just re-installed the driver... odd... Oh well, thanks Pope ^^
