Utorrent is the best if all you do is basic stuff but if you want all the extra use bitcomet i think it better than Azureus.

It's your end then, the program is just a client, they don't really affect speed.

Azurues has always been good to me.

Although I like it even I agree that it can be a resource hog.

Just make sure you don't have your upload speed ALL THE WAY UP!

At most 80% of your total upload bandwidth should be used for seeding.

I can usually hit my max (~800 Kb/s) with Azurues.

Of course this is with torrents with a higher number of seeders.

Personally I prefer uTorrent due to its miniscule memory footprint. May want to try Azureus also and just see which one you prefer.

µTorrent because of it's low memory usage. It's the only client I've tried and I've had no problems so I'm not switching; Only problem is I don't know what to set as my connection speed. I have 2MB broadband from AOL and for some reason, it goes best at 128/192kpbs and I'm wondering if this is right?

It depends on how much data the people you're connected to is putting out, so changing clients won't matter... Azureus seems more stable though, in terms of that. UTorrent randomly cuts out for some odd reason on 2 of my computers... But I like that it's so small.

You need to open a port in your modem for utorrent or aureus or any other torrent client to work right.

utorrent. Used others like Azureus, BitSpritm BitComet Before utorrent was released in the past. But utorrent definitely has all the features u need in a small size.

will using uTorrent slow down the computer a bit from downloading things, even though those files are safe and have nothing bad in them?

Generally it will only bog down your internet connection. I suppose if you have an old computer or high DL/upload rates it could affect performance though.

Try this to find out your max speeds: Broadband speed test

I used utorrent, it's fast, simple and effective. Previously used Azuereus, Bitcomet and Burst :P - Old Skool!
