Default Computer help!

Alright so I had this old ram laying around the house. So I took out my old ram out of my computer and put the the 2 that were laying around my house. When I put them in, and tried to start the computer...Nothing! The screen wouldn't turn on or anything. The only thing working was my motherboard and everything else including the fans. So I turned it back off, putting the old ones (that were already in there) back in. There is 3 module spots to put them in. One blue and two green. I have a ASUS K8V SE Deluxe motherboard.

I guess this good help you out.

Did it work before you put the RAM in? If not, I'd say it's the video card.
For the RAM though, the color-coding is for doubling RAM. You can't just throw in ammounts into there, they have to be matching. For example, you say there are two green. You need to put two of the same size (for example 256 + 256) in these. If you don't have pairs, just put one stick in.

It started, but the screen wouldn't. Yes I checked the screen and the graphics.
The same thing would happen when I put my old one in. Its like there was no difference.

I know they were both the same.

I'm thinking it's the graphics card. If there's a fan on it, does it spin? If not, yeah... If so, make sure it's pressed all the way in, they come loose sometimes...

I've never had that problem... Just need to be the same model and size. Not really retailer.

Took out the graphics card and put it back in. Still nothing, and the fan started spinning again too (on the graphics card).

Not really sure but it look like you corrupted your ram. I would go to your local computer store and have then test out the ram. Not sure what there charge.

Well, you might have corrupted your ram, or you could have just put them in the wrong slots, try swapping em round and stuff.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS?
Refer to you motherboard manual for this. Basically there's a jumper on your motherboard that you need to switch over for a few seconds. It will restore all BIOS settings to default. If you don't have your mobo manual anymore then post the make and model of the motherboard.

If clearing CMOS doesn't work then:

Have you tried the RAM sticks individually?
If you try them each individually in every slot and still nothing then you've either fried your RAM or the motherboard is dead.

**UPDATE**
I took out the battery for about 30 minutes. Put it back in, put in the boot disk with the bios on the disk. Nothing.

Does that mean its fried?

I got a solution,
The voltage is diffrent or something...
I got this when I replaced 2 512 sticks with one 1GB stick.
I think it is somewhere in your BIOS.

He can't even access the BIOS, so that doesn't help much

It sounds like it's fried though.

I got this,
But I inserted my 2 256MB sticks in and booted in the bios.
Setted the voltage and replaced them.
That worked for me.
