I know that RAM is important but, to play the latest games do I also need REALLY high graphics card memory.
The real question is, With $500 bucks, what would be the best computer/laptop that I could possibly get for GAMES?, remember, 500 dollor limit.

for $500 it doesnt seem bad, but for that budget, you arent really left with many gaming options. and yes, for the latest games, you will want a graphics card. in the least, 128MB of graphics memory.

u need enough ram for a high gfx card. right now with $500 you can get the best gfx card

Yea but he is on a 500 Limt for a whole new computer not just a gfx card btw some very good gfx card can be picked up for about 350 some even better than the 500 buck vers.

are they allowed to lie about parts on ebay?

1 time i bought a battery for my laptop, they said it lasted 6 hours...i got it and it ran out at 20 minutes and it was fully charged

Maybe when it was brand new but over time it dies and get less and less power.

Also it depends on what your doing on the computer

Putting it on standby it may lasted 6 hours but doing a movie while your on the internet and the higest bright screen setting it not going to last very long.

Desktop would have packed more of a punch than the laptop. You got a 1 year warranty so take it back and get the desktop you were planning on getting. Trust me; it will be better overall.

but really will it play neverwinter nights, or perhaps Oblivion?
