Default [HELP] From fast to slow!

I don't know if this is pc help, but it has something to do with my pc.

So i wanted to download a very large file (not piracy), so i went to go plug in my laptop to my modem. I accidentally took out the power cable, so i plugged it back in. when i started the download, i was amazed!!! my internet usually goes at around 40 kpbs, but at the start of the download I had a 1.5 meg connection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! then it started to decrease, and soon enough it was back at 40kpbs. Is there any way i can make it so every time i restart the modem it is this fast throughout the whole download?

That is not your modem. Many times, when you download the file, your download speed will start really large (like what you had), or really small, like 1 kb/s. After a while, when it can properly calculate the download speed, it will give you your normal amount.

Unplugging your modem didn't speed up your connection and then slow it back down.
