Use Firefox, For firefox you get the excellent caching ability of it. This is pretty handy if you have a download limit

You can also get different plugins, the useful ones are the ones like, 'Adblock Plus' Which removes all google ads, all flash banners, pretty much ALL ads. You can also selectively block certain banners/flash items.

Go with firefox

I use firefox but it's got so heavy lately. I liked the simplicity of it before but now it's got too huge. IE actually runs quicker now, but I hate not having Adblock so I stick with FF.

IMO using internet explorer is like having AIDS. But my Firefox stopped working the other day. I think I die a little inside everytime i have to use IE. I see firefox in the corner of my desktop, crying, saying "Alex, don't you LOVE me?". Then I say "Of course I do, but your just not working for me lately". Then firefox responds "I'm ready to work for this relationship! I wanna fight for US!". then we try again, but she always doesn't deliver. And thus the vicious circle begins again.

It's hard because IE has always been there for me, but firefox is just newer and hotter. I've grown to dislike IE, she's kindof a whore. She rips off firefox fashions and everything. Everytime I look at her she's more like Firefox, but when it comes down to the real dirty things, IE can't handle it.

If Firefox didn't allow people to make their fantastic 3rd party extensions, I would drop it in a second for Opera.

Amen. Opera is my web browser of choice, but it lacks the level of customizing that FF does.

Opera is pretty good. Just like you said, it does lack customization. I think opera is the leading browser in mobile phones.
