Ok, so Right now I have a Vista and XP partition. I want to get rid of my XP partition, and allocate the space to vista. However, when I rna the Vista partition tool, it only lets me shrink, not delete my XP partition. SO I shrunk it down and now I have 60+gb of unallocated space. But It wont let me allocate it to my vista partition... wtf? So then I try and run Partition magic in XP, and it comes up with an error message and shuts down. So I try Gparted, and it tells me I have 186+gb of unallocated space? Thats obviously not true, because I have XP and Vista o my hard-drive atm. So I have no idea wtf is going on.
an easy solution would be to just reinstall vista and allocate all of that space to vista.
fool around with partition magic and make sure theres no way for it to work. otherwise boot into gparted and just allocate the 186 to the vista partition... maybe your partition tables are ****ed i unno.
But I like just installed everything in vista nd got it running the way I want it to :(
since u messed with it with the vista partition tool i believe that gparted cannot now recognize it as is, so u will need to format ur drive, or find another program ur choice
