Default Help! Change default install directory

This really doesnt have anything to do with my PSP but more with my PC but it affects my PSP really bad also. Heres my problem. When ever I install things it automatically instals it to H:\Program Files. The folder H:\ is my RECOVERY folder , its used for reformatting, and System Recovery and so on. The RECOVERY folder is only 4.56 GB. And I have a 300 GB hard drive. Anyways, I want to have everything installed to the C:\Program Files folder because thats my 300 GB hard drive. Yes Yes Yes I know that when I install files sometimes it gives me the Option to change it to the directory I want but MOST files DON'T. So I need to pretty much Change my INSTALL (not download, i dont have issues with downloading files) DIRECTORY to C:\Program Files. Help ? How do i do this?

Has absolutely nothing to do with PSP (the program your installing might but the actual problem doesnt). Moved to PC forums.

Also please use real thread titles in future so people have some idea of the problem.

I think some installers copy files in a hardcoded way (like go to system partition or w/e), especially Microsoft's stuff. You can change the environment variables in Windows (ex: %SYSTEMROOT%, %WINDIR%, %PROGRAMFILES%, etc...) at least according to this http://www.wilsonmar.com/1envvars.htm

A very, very quick search on Google turns up this for changing the default installation location:
  1. Go to Run.
  2. Type: regedit
  3. Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWA RE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
  4. Find ProgramFilesDir whose default should be C:\Program Files (but in your case is H:\Program Files)
  5. Change this to whatever directory you wish. (In your case change H: to C
