Hey everyone,
I am currently working on a project for PSP called ShareBox. It is a web-based file-sharing service coded 100% from scratch in PHP.
My current hosting only has 500mb space and a max filesize of 8mb.

So i need to know, if anyone knows of a free host that supports:
- PHP 5 or later
- At least 5gb of storage, more if possible
- At least 10gb of bandwidth, more if possible
- 200mb+ filesize limit, no filesize limit if possible
- MySQL databases, at least 1
- GD support in the PHP

If anyone can tell me a good host that suits my needs i'll give you points

I dont know of any that suit that category im afraid, but your project sounds very interesting

I don't think you can get a free host with 5GB of storage, sounds alot to just give away. But I'm sure there are relatively cheap ones out there. You could try starting off with a small host for the time being and see if people use the file sharing alot and if so then i guess you could pay for hosting and add a kind donate button somewhere

Sounds like a cool project tho, i will certainly give it a go

Best one you can get for free with php, mysql and a ok bandwidth is awardspace.
Hosting OS Proprietary *nix
PHP version 4.4.1
Perl version 5.8.4
MySQL version 4.0.24
One MySQL DB.
Upto 5 sub domains.

GD yes.

Here the pitfalls;
Traffic 5gb
Disk space 200mb
Max filesize 500kb (

)

your problem comes with it being free as no sites I know of will give you even close to that amount of space for free.

You could try www.8tt.org. A free account gets 10GB of space. Sadly, the max file size is 10MB, but hey, the free 10 gigs is pretty impressive!
