Default Things to do before selling a PC

Hey!

Just wanted to ask what steps i should do before i sell my PC. I wanted to keep all my things and protect my data from anyone getting it so ill be keeping my hard drive. Is that all i need to do to keep my details safe?

Thats is all i can think of to do before selling it seeing as i am taking the hard drive with me but if there is anything else i should do please let me know!

Side note:
Will i be able to just put that hard drive into a new PC and use it straight away?

Extra Info: This is my pc

Nice computer. lol

I think you would be able to put your old harddrive into the new one. What are you thinking of getting?

I don't think you'll have to do anything to protect your data seeing as you are taking you hard drive with you.

But for your new computer you might have to get an adapter like ATA(or IDE) to SATA, look at what type of hard drive you have now and check in the new computer.

I want to build my own one next because i tried to upgrade the one i have now but as its a PCTV, the chassis wouldnt let me, and it would probably overheat in a few seconds. Plus i wanted to separate the two so yeah.
Watcha think ill get for it, I think it retails for about £1100-£1500+ now, i was hoping to get like £800 for it since it has a HD TV and a pretty decent computer all in one.

Edit: Thanks rob, i woulnd't have thought about that (going to be my first time building a PC)

Lol thanks for the replies,

I can take open the Computer and things and i have done it before. The graphcis card isnt part of the tv, its on a mobo and stuff. Its basically a TV with a mobo stuck on the back with very limited space. I have tried to install a 8800GTS in it BUT, the chassis was to small and i didnt want to go cutting holws, and it would probably melt everything because of the space restrictions.
I might grab another HDD and put it in palce of the one i have now to attract more customer but then it would need a OS.

But yeah, taking it apart is no problem at all

It is a greate little machine but not for upgrading.
