Unhappy Computer is lagging

It's me again.
All of a sudden is CS:S, it started lagging, like A LOT, ever since it lags everytime I try to play it, as I am typing right now with WMP and Opera open, my typing is lagging as well..

It NEVAR used to do this, then all of a sudden it happens.

I have done a virus scan, spyware scan, and hell I even defragmented, and restart(s), still, it lags.

WTF happened?

We may not know why it lagging but there are ways to solve it..

How much RAM does your computer have...
gohere and download then scan just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.

Also sometimes this can be a problem after windows update try and uninstall the updates and see if your computer runs better...

Also how long as it been since your last format...Sometimes your far better off formating and install your os..You will see a world of difference... It also helps clean the crappy apps you never use anymore...And that alone will improve your speed...

Also sorry for not replying to your Pm...I got side track...

Reinstalling is not that bad, you should do it every so often, maybe twice a year. You will be so happy after you do it. And if you're gonna reinstall you should get Vista while you're at it, thats what happened with me.

I would re-install Windows occaisionally if I wasn't lazy but that's the easiest fix to any problem.

vanden mentioned that if I got vista i wouldnt have to install drivers, which makes me a happy panda.

now heres an odd question that should be obvious, I purchased CS:S amd garry's mod through steam, if i reinstalled it'd be gone, so what about that?

I think one of my frens has a vista CD (lolz :P) but I have to check.

I meant that if I wiped it clean, the game files would be wiped as well, so would I have to repurchase it (:argh because steam would be smart enough to avioud like saying oh you don't have it you want us to install it then you could just go to another comp and install it which would mean loss of profit :|

Isn´t that stored on your steam account, so when you log in steam "knows" that you have bought the games. I think.
