ok i was looking for some code which will copy a file or directory to another and i found one

when every i type in the source and destination along with the one of the endings it says Invalid number of parameters
i have a win2k anyone got any solutions
ive tryed it on a xp and it still says the same thing Invalid number of parameters
whats wrong with ctrl + c and ctrl + v ?
copy <file source> <file destination>
make sure the paths are in quotes
copy "C:\blah.txt" "C:\woot\"
