My dvd drive will not detect any type of disc i put in, I have cleaned the lense and updates my driver and still nothing. Any Ideas? Thanks.

check that the sata/ or ide cable is plugged in right, and make sure that is attached to the motherboard

can ur computer detect the dvd drive?

my pc detects the drive just wont load the discs. The connections are fine.

it coulld be that it isnt compatible with a recent update?

have u tried the dvd drive in another computer, if so how did it behave

yes i have and i get the same. detects the drive but not the discs.

its the drive..its faulty
