Default Trying to convert a external hard drive to fit inside my laptop

My laptop currently has a 30 GB hard drive. I want to use an external hard drive and convert it to fit into my laptop (I have no experience with this sort of thing, but I know it can be done as I saw a tutorial for it not too long ago, but can't find it again). I guess I could just buy an internal hard drive and put it in my lap top, but I don't know where to find good prices and it seems external hard drives are cheaper anyway.

Any help?

If its a external hard drive, it is most likely too big to go in a laptop, and internal drives are always cheaper than external. Check newegg.com to find a internal laptop drive, make sure its for a laptop, not a pc

If you seriously want to convert an external Hard drive, your going to have to buy 2.5" version. Same with internal aswell, but internal are a lot cheaper.

You have no hope just use that has external HDD and put your data on that...

Or pick up one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822149041 or something larger but installing it is not going to be a easy for someone like you tho...
