Before you all say it, I am not hacking.
I like word 2007 and have a portable copy of it sitting on my usb drive. At school today I double clicked on it and as I expected I got "A software restriction policy has stopped you opening this. You do not have the correct priveledges etc.." So, Is there a way to execute my word 2007.exe on an account with no priveledges easily? To give you a run down:
So Is there any way at all that I can use this?

if u can create shortcuts, then create a shortcut to it or create a shortcut to command.com
that usually bypasses command prompt restrictions.

OK, try this:
Open Notepad (if you can't normally, open IE, right click > view source, ctrl + A, del) Type command.com Save in your docs as "command.bat". See if that runs. If not try this: Log in, then when it is loading your personal settings pull the ethernet cable out/turn the wireless off, then when you get something about cannot move file, and will log u on with a temporary user put cable back in. If you get thrown back to the login screen it wont work.

I am going to try the batch thing tomorrow.
As with the ethernet, I don't want to do this as I want to be logged on as my user account, this is why I don't just boot into safe mode. Realn0whereman: Yeah I was in a hurry and i and o are next to eachother lol.

Even if it works you're still sort of on your account.

That only works once, when I would like to use this every time.
I went to the thinstall website at school which claims that it can run programs without admin priveledges, so I downloaded a thinstall firefox, but it wasn't allowed to run.

i will be surprised if this works but it did at our school at one stage.
rename the exe to winword.exe if the school is running a white list this may work.

I am unsure about the Cd's and if they will work.
The admins at our school are complete tw*ts. They are so annoying, once I got banned and I asked why, the admin didn't know. WTF. Lol, they would not leave the computer for one second when they are logged in... ![]() One thing I remember, last year someone downloaded the setup.exe for firefox and put it in the shared area (network hard drive which everyone has access to) and you could run the installer and install all the files to your "my documents" and it would work. I tried to copy a thinstalled firefox accross to the shared area this year, and I got some stupid error message (more about the program than priveledges) I think. So I can open the program, but it wont actually run if you get me... Perhaps there is a workaround?

We should be allowed to run exe's, especially at college level, and then ESPECIALLY in a computing class >.< we cant compile our programs because of this. However it is a bit less restrictive then high school, you can actually get into the Windows folder but meh. MSDOS doesn't run :P
You could always try excelling in class and be granted admin on 'special grounds'
