Default New CPU Heatsink + Fan - which one?

So I will be getting a new HSF soon to replace the stock one I have now that came with my processor, the only problem I have now is which one to get?

My initial choice was the Coolermaster mars but I have changed my mind to the spiral looking one, the Coolermaster eclipse.

I have read reviews on the two and see that the eclipse is better then the mars, but is there anything I should know about HSF's?

I will be overclocking my processor, and I do want the HSF to look nice and have a bit of style so I don't need anything for professional over clockers or anything to get extreme performance out of it.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

http://www.axiontech.com/prdt.php?item=78587

i recommend this. When i was on stock Q6600, my temps were 65 idle and 85 underload. After i upgraded to that, my idle temps are now 37 and my load temps are 50. Its also the 3rd quietest heatsink/fan on frostytech reviews

Thermalright ultra 120 extreme

That is the only answer, everything else is just crap.
Here are some reviews:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...0ex.html#sect0
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article646-page1.html
http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling...spx?i=2981&p=1

**** style. With this, you'll be able to overclock your processor to match the performance of one that costs $1000 more.

Yeah, you only need 1 fan though. Adding a 2nd fan doesn't increase performance too much and just adds noise. I recommend getting the Scythe S-Flex fans, the same one they used in the anandtech review.

If you want to go into water, the cheapest you are going to get without sacrificing too much quality is this: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=353408
However, the Thermalright heatsink actually performs better.

Look at it this way, you are already going to drop at least £20 on a new heatsink, and maybe £5 on good quality thermal paste. You might as well throw in a few more quid and get the best.

When I said the best, I meant the best air cooler which is the one I mentioned earlier.
Watercooling is a lot of hastle and there comes a point where you don't get that much return on your investment.
Stick with air, I'm sure Phil has experiences with water but he is back on air now.

That will work. Good choice, make sure you read the instructions and don't put too much on.
