Default XP Installation Partition?

I've decided to go Dual-OS on my new Laptop so I've borrow my friends copy of XP and got it to boot into the installer, it goes along great but then it gets to the part to select a partition to install to, it doesn't show any!

I've formatted a blank 27GB partition on Vista to use for XP, assigned it to the D: drive but the XP installer just can't find it!

Anyone know anything can try?

It doesn't show any drives? Try formating the drives...again.

Simple, create a new partition and set the size to desired. Depends on what your going to use it for. If it's for music and games than id say 20gb.
How big is your whole HDD?

The whole HDD is 160GB, the Partitioned space is 30GB approx and yes it's formatted in NTFS... it shows my iPod connected but it just won't show my primary HDD

So create a new one for 30 or 40 GB.
Usually you press C on the keyboard and type in how big you want it.

Yea that's what I meant. I don't think you can put certain file types on an ipod
Correct me if I'm wrong though

Omg,
Here we go:
Plug in your iPod,
Install the OS on it.
Enable USB booting in the bios.
Reboot.
Done
