If anybody can help me get my router going I will give them 15 million QJ points.
My routers model is a D-Link DI-634m The problem is that when I run the setup wizard and get to the part of choosing my SSID I can't continue. I click next and nothing happens. I had a D-Link router just a few days ago and I was able to set it up with ease. If anybody can help me setup my router it would be great. All help is appreciated. |

If you just want to change the SSID replace 'default' with whatever you want and click Apply. |

The router isn't even configured yet. Here's a more detailed story.
I go through the setup wizard and then when I get to the part about SSID I click next and nothing happens I've tried doing this in IE and Mozilla Vista and XP. |

some routers have a hard reset button of some kind. try pressing that and running the wizard again.

Just input the following into the 2nd screen you posted:
Wireless Radio: 'On' SSID: ~You Decide~ Channel: 9 Super G Mode: Enabled SSID Broadcast: Enabled Authentication: WPA-PSK (Hopefully this will allow you to select your own worded password) WEP: Disabled WEP/WPA-PSK Encryption: Whatever you feel is enough. Key Type: There must an option to make a worded password and not a Hex password since you selected WPA-PSK. Key 1: ~Your Password~ Click 'Apply' Hopefully it should work now, I don't have much experience with D-Link routers, but it's all similar to my Netgear MiMo router

I wouldn't do what Skyline34 said...
Because the router is meant to make a WPA-PSK code for you, you can't type it in. Try entering a different SSID to the one you did in the router. Also if it still doesn't work take the power out of the router, wait 20 seconds then plug it back in and try again once it's all booted up.

Get a Netgear one. And if you want a specific one try to get WGR614. That's what I have and it works a wonder, can work as a switch or a router and can supply the internet to 4 things wired and uses wireless. Pretty awesome

Yeah... just one problem I find is that I am using it as a switch and wireless and it is getting the internet from another router... and often all my devices that use WiFi (PSP, DS, Wii) fail to get themselves an IP address. Before I fixed this problem by my dad going on the other routers settings, then I could connect then he reserved an IP for the device but that seems to start failing now. So I often have to manually enter the reserved IPs in the devices.

Are you guys kidding me? The best router out there, hands down is the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. Unusually good signal range, and costs ~$55. Also supports (compatible with) 3rd-party firmwares.

Do you have an encryption key? I use WEP. If the same, what did you have to turn off?

I use WPA-TKIP and I'm not at home to access the router and check but I know it was something under security it's a small button on the top that allowed all devices as long as they had the right password could use the network, because before I would have to confirm it and manually put in all the computers MAC Address
