windows recovery disk

Default windows recovery disk

ok currently i want to format my HDD and reinstall ubuntu and XP. but i do not have a XP boot cd as my laptop came preinstalled with xp. is there anyway to make a cd to install xp after the format? thanks for any help.

my laptop is 5 years old and we have moved over 4 times and over 2000 miles, if it did its lost

EDIT:
but under ubuntu i can see a recovery partition with an iso file in it.

ill see cause i cannot access it on xp and dont have anything to open it up in ubuntu. ill try to put it into the xp partition.

Burn that to a cd(the iso) with ubuntu and see if it will boot.

it does autoboot but eventually my computer does some wierd disk reading noises like it cant readd it at all and nothing more happens. same thing happended with ubuntu until i found 1 cd from a different make.
