if you're using 32 bit, all you need is 2gb of ram
and i have a Q6600 and it is BEASTLY

Plus the one with the Q6600 has a nVidia 8500GT and a 19" widescreen monitor. Should be alright for games.

Even if you did have a 64 Bit operating system and 4 Gig of ram it still wouldnt make much of a difference

the most your computer can utilize in 32 bit is 3.12gb. Minus the 2 gb, you have 1.12 gb left on pagefile. and i can assure you that Q6600 completely RAPES the x2 5400+ in speed.

well the Q6600 and x2 5400+ arnt even in the same boat, you can barly even compare them...

CPU Charts

plus, what you don't want to do is buy a computer off of ebay...just select all the components to your liking and build it yourself..

Q6600 Is the best for the price range I say go for 3gb of ram it seems to be the sweet spot for vista....
