Default Extended Laptop Wifi

Hiya guys, I was joking around with my mate from college about putting an Antenna out of my room to get a wireless signal from my entire neighborhood, we laughed... but now I seriously want to do it, there is this USB antenna which boasts a +28dbm increase, it's called TurboTenna, what do you think guys? Would it be feasable?

Or if any of you guys have any other suggestions that'd be great!

There is no regulation that i know of saying you cant increase your wifi card's range.

Sounds fine to me, but is a +28dbm increase in range really going to cover your entire neighborhood?

I don't know but their are 15dbm antennas which have a range of 0.25-0.75 miles, and my section of the neighborhood is all packed in close so i'll be able to pick up quiiite a few APs with 28dbm
