Well I have a firewall on my modem and I have ZA, do I need to keep running ZA? Or is it just a waste now?

Well, if it's bogging down your system, ditch it.
If not, extra protection should always be welcome.

Personally, I haven't had any malware in years.

If you have some yes and no...Firewalls block **** apps for connect to the internet...If you know anything about wireshark use it and make sure nothing you dont know get access's to the internet for a few days..After that you just stay away from ****ware and you will be fine..

Zone alarm security suite is usefull for beginners and advanced users as well.
It is very easy to set it.(automatic mode)
Hardware firewall is better in some situations, if U know how to set it right.
So my advice is keep them both.
(But Kaspersky is better

)
